Our Primary Care Network

Quote / Testimonial:

What is a Primary Care Network?

All Doncaster GP practices are now part of a ‘Primary Care Network’ to help improve access, availability and quality of healthcare provided in the community and closer to where you live.

What is a Primary Care Network (PCN)?

Scawsby Health Centre & Arksey Lane Surgery are part of the North Doncaster Primary Care Network.

The aim of the PCN is to create a workforce within primary care not purely based on the traditional view as GPs and nurses. Each PCN create a team which best suites the need of their population. Our teams now include:

  • Clinical Pharmacists
  • Phramacy technicians
  • Care Co-ordinators
  • First Contact Physiotherapist
  • Dietician
  • Mental Health Clinician

and will continue to grow as new roles are made available. We work together under the leadership of our Clinical Directors to provide the best and most appropriate care that we can for our collective patient list.
